Fast Update

Wow!! Opening Day is almost here for most teams and I am pumped for the start of my snagging season. Here are some up-coming blog entries

1) Spring Training Success 2008! I have received a full mail box today of signed stuff. Also alot of people have been having sucess with Tommy Lasorda. I did not write to him, but I wanted to let you guys know.

2) I thought it would be cool to visit the Rogers Centre and to take photos of stuff they are doing to prepare for Opening Day. I might visit the Jays team store and might even take the stadium tour. I might head over to Toronto this weekend or early next week.

I am just starting to put together my snagging goal, along with my autograph goal. Do you guys have your snagging/autograph goals for the 2008 season?

Chris,
Hey man you're gonna make it to 6 Braves games? nice!

I got a 20 game season ticket package so there's a good chance we'll be at the same ones.

Have you been to Atlanta before?

Some tips for you;

Get there real early for batting practice and hang out by the outfield fence (homerun area as close to the wall as you can get). You'll grab an occasional "homerun" ball or the players shagging flies will toss some up to you in the stands. Since the cages are up around the batters, foul balls are out of the question.

Also, as much hanging around the field where players see you and can toss balls to you early before the game starts at Turner Field are good bets.

I'd hang out at the visiting dugout (3rd base) side to get autographs since Atlanta fans will flock to their fav. players at the Braves dugout. You'll have a better chance of getting an autograph or free ball where the out-of-town teams will be. Call them by name and where their team jersey and they're more likely to stop by.

I'm sure you know all this as the Ultimate Collector but those are some ideas that might help at Turner Field.

Make sure you go to Sky Field. The view is great and there's a lot to do. And grab a Georgia Dog (coleslaw, vidalia onion relish and mustard...a real Southern treat!) or get Skip and Pete's BBQ both highly recommended by me!

Thanks man! Keep in touch!

Hey Chris:

You should seriously consider writing to former Los Angeles Dodgers (Super) manager Tommy Lasorda. The man is a legend and bleeds Dodger Blue!

Jaq--
The games I will be attending are not at Turner Field. I will be seeing them in Toronto and seeing them at a National League ballpark. Thanks so much for those tips for getting baseballs/autographs at Turner Field. I heard it is great for getting balls in the outfield and is probably one of the best places in the Major's to get baseballs. I might be coming out there late this coming season or probably the next. I will keep you posted!

Michael--

I hope all is well, you have not commented in a while in my blog. I might head over there Sunday to see how it is coming along. I will be sure to take some photo's to share with you guys.

Pinetarman--

I know I should. I might send one to Dodgers at the start of this season or I might send one to his house. Sending to his house usually takes 60-75 days to get back.

Everyone--

I posted a really good blog entry just a couple minutes ago, be sure to comment on it. I will probably 90% be heading over to Toronto, this Sunday to see the Jays shop and maybe even take the stadium tour.
