Book in Progress

Well, you're probably all wondering what I am up to while I am waiting for the season of '08 to start.. so let me tell you about it.

Right now I am currently working on some plans to start writing a book! It will be about collecting baseballs and autographs and anything else I can think of related to baseball. Who knows? I might write one about snagging. I have not started to write anything yet, but I have been putting ideas together and hope to start writing in the next month or so.

Not only that, but my sister has plans of writing her own books too! I am not sure what she interested in writing about.. but I am sure that it will be great!

Do you have any suggestions on what I should include in my upcoming book?

Rogers Centre Visit

I headed over to Toronto this weekend and I headed over to the Rogers Centre to pick up a couple of pocket schedules and to take a look at the new things happening outside of the Rogers Centre.

I walked around the Rogers Centre to see if there were any new additions to the place.

I then walked over to the Jays Shop and decided to look at all the new items for the 2008 season.

I looked at the baseball section and found the brand new "Rogers Centre" baseball. These baseballs were being used by the Blue Jays last season. I hope I snag one when I go to a game this season.

After looking at the baseballs, I bumped into my autograph buddy Tang and he chatted for a bit. He just came to the Rogers Centre to pick up his season tickets. He also walked inside the Jays Shop to pick up a pocket schedule. Tang purchased some Offical Major League baseballs for signing and before he left he invited me to attend some Blue Jays games with him this season.

Baseball Pranks

Baseball pitchers are notorious for pulling pranks on each other in the clubhouse. A prank during Spring Training caught Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Kyle Kendrick completely off guard. Here it is for your viewing pleasure!

Fast Update

Wow!! Opening Day is almost here for most teams and I am pumped for the start of my snagging season. Here are some up-coming blog entries

1) Spring Training Success 2008! I have received a full mail box today of signed stuff. Also alot of people have been having sucess with Tommy Lasorda. I did not write to him, but I wanted to let you guys know.

2) I thought it would be cool to visit the Rogers Centre and to take photos of stuff they are doing to prepare for Opening Day. I might visit the Jays team store and might even take the stadium tour. I might head over to Toronto this weekend or early next week.

I am just starting to put together my snagging goal, along with my autograph goal. Do you guys have your snagging/autograph goals for the 2008 season?

Mystery Autograph!

Yesterday when I was looking in some stores, I came across some autographed Official Major League baseballs for only $10.00 and I decided to purchase this baseball below. It looks like it says Jim Hunter on the ball. I know Jim "Catfish" Hunter played but he signs with "Catfish in his signature always. Do you know who's autograph this could be?

Snagging Trip to NYC!

This coming summer I will be flying to New York City for 4 days to see the New York Yankees. I actually got tickets from my very good friend Brad who lives there and that is why I am going. The tickets are very expensive. When I am in New York I plan to head over the brand new Citi Field and to take some photos to share with you. I am so excited to make it back to New York. I went to New York 3 years ago and got to see the Yankees too. This will be a trip to remember! 156 days left!!!!!!!!

Blue Jay Alumni Signing

It was a beautiful sunny day in Toronto as I waited in line at the Rogers Video store in Davisville. There were a few people in line when I arrived. I didn't find the wait too long either. I had about a 40 minute wait. To welcome everyone there, the Blue Jays mascot came out to greet us and to take photo's in the crowd. I got to know some other autograph collectors in line and I talked to them. I got to know this guy named Franklin and he showed me his autographs. He told me some of his tips and I shared some of mine. I handed him one of my business cards and he told me he would check out my blog. Later on, the Blue Jays van arrived to set up the tables for signing. A short time later, the players arrived and then things went even faster. As I moved up, I could see the players at the tables. They're great guys and had agreed to sign all the photos, cards, balls, and bats for fans. I got some great pictures and got them to sign cards and balls I had brought with me.

New Pocket Schedules

Yesterday in the mail I received 3 official Blue Jays pocket schedules for the up-coming 2008 season. I was so happy to get them in mail, so that I don't have to head over to the Rogers Centre to get them. I think they have a better front page this year compared to last years plain one.

I know I told you that I was going to have any autograph blog entry up, but I am taking photos for the entry and it is taking me some time. I will have it up 100% this Saturday. I am just trying to put lots of detail and show all my photos.

Hill stealing home

I just discovered this video on YouTube of Aaron Hill stealing home. I thought it would be cool to share it with you and to hear your thoughts about it.

I had an amazing week and have a excellent blog entry coming up. I had a Spring Training sucess as well.
